I came across this story idea by watching a City Council meeting, where Demetria Stephens spoke against the proposed renovations to the basketball courts at Douglass Park in Columbia. Past volunteers and players of the Moonlight Hoops initiative in Douglass Park worried that the name attributions and color changes would obscure their legacy.
